California Roll - a kind of sushi ?

I didn't know that such a "sushi" is available !

I didn't know that American people love "avocado".

The "sushi" which has been the original evolution among American -
a kind of "sushi" which was made by rolling "avocado" in it,
which appears to be called as [California Roll].

Because I know little America and their culture, I didn't know about it.

What I didn't know more was that Mexico is the world largest productive land of avocado.
And, 80% of the avocado made in Mexico are exported to USA.

On such avocado, import duty of 20% will be imposed or .....

Recently the latest news will be import duty on steel products and aluminium.
Japan looks to be much influenced by the decision of American President Trump.

春が来た！と、メールが舞い込む。

大阪ではもうサクラが咲きだしている。

昨晩は開花を見かけなかったその同じ木に
今朝は突然三分咲き以上に咲いていたのを発見。
その様子を見ると、自然と顔がゆるむ。

昨晩はスイスからスズランの写真と共に
「春が来た！」とメールが入った。

たまにしかメールを寄こさない旧友だけど
ヨーロッパ人は「春の到来を特に喜ぶ」のか
春の象徴のスズランを嬉しそうに送ってくれる。

陽光を浴びる事を好む彼らにとっては
春の到来は大きな意味を持ち、
お互いに喜びあうのだろう。

19日の日にはルーマ二アの友から、
冬が戻って来たとの便りがあった。
霜が降りたり雪が降ったりしたそうだ。

今年はヨーロッパは広い範囲で、随分強烈な寒波に見舞われた様で
ちょっと前まで、その寒さの現状を訴えかけていた。
それが和らいだ矢先に再度冬の戻りだった様だ。

我々日本でも、春の象徴の桜の便りが気になる。

毎年３月の下旬から末当たりに桜が咲き始めて
４月の第一週は楽しめるサクラ。

日本人には特別の桜を今年も楽しみたい。

Be Proactive !

[Be Proactive] ! – suggestive words to Japanese.

[Be Proactive] is the word of Stephen Richard Covey.
This expression [Be Proactive] appears at its first one of [The 7 Habits]
written in his book titled [The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People].

To us Japanese, it’s a little hard to describe it with its corresponding
Japanese in a single word. But, its opposite word being [Reactive],
it will have the meaning of [Taking the lead in doing something].

In my opinion, many of us Japanese are [passive] generally.
If they are worked on by others, they react against them.
In other words, they do not try to work on others actively and willingly
on their voluntary idea, unless they will be worked on by others.

Its opposite [Proactive] people will be very few even if any.
It would not be too much to say that the [Proactive] people
will not be the majority among us Japanese.

It would be true that most Japanese are mostly [Reactive].

However, I would hope that our people will also take the lead
in taking action to give good influence to the people around
by [making something happen] consciously.

That’s why I understand that [Being Proactive] is to [Make Something Happen].
